PHYLLIS INA EDENS Phyllis Ina Edens, 89, former resident of Bartlesville, died at 2:25 PM on Saturday July 20, 2013 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 24, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory in Bartlesville. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney, Kansas. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Box 29, Sapulpa, Oklahoma 74067 or Kids Kloset 12 W. Burnham, Sapulpa, Oklahoma 74066 Phyllis Ina Edens was born October 9, 1923 in Douglas, Kansas to Carl R. and Maudie Mae (Gilbert) Wands. She was raised and received her education in the Delaware and Copan, Oklahoma areas. Mrs. Edens graduated high school at Copan, Oklahoma in 1942. She attended and graduated Bartlesville Business School. Mrs. Edens was married to Willis Leslie Edens on April 14, 1943 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and they made their home in the Copan Area until moving to Lubbock, Texas in 1959. They moved to Bartlesville in 1970. Mrs. Edens was employed at the Copan Post Office until moving to Lubbock, Texas where she was employed with the Post Office and Texas Tech University. While in Bartlesville, Mrs. Edens worked at the Southern Abstract Company and the Washington County Tag Office. Mrs. Edens was a member of the East Cross United Methodist Church, the Dewey Eastern Star Chapter 312 and for the last few years she has attended the First Presbyterian Church at Sapulpa. Survivors include; her three daughters Phyllis Louise Winegar and her husband Roy of The Colony, Texas and Willetta Ann Norman and her husband David of Lubbock, Texas and Joyce Ilene Johnson and her husband Wally of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
