Pamela Jean Witt

Pamela Jean (Farmer) Witt, lovingly known as Pam, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at her home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, at the age of 65. She was born to Edward Eugene Famer and Joann (Robertson) Farmer on June 18, 1958, in Bartlesville, OK. After high school, Pam earned a basketball scholarship to Bartlesville Wesleyan College (BWC) where she received a Bachelor’s degree in biology. She was able to use that degree to earn a position at Phillips Petroleum Company where she worked as a crude oil lab technician. After some years, she found herself as a single mother raising her daughter Rachel, forging a strong bond as they navigated life together for 10 years. Their journey was filled with numerous joyful moments and cherished memories. Eventually, fate brought her to meet Alan, the love of her life, during their time at Phillips. Alan, too, was a single father. Their two separate families merged into one blended family. They were married on August 11, 2000. Two years later they welcomed their daughter Abigail, the missing piece that beautifully completed their family. In 2002, she made the decision to leave her job behind and fully embrace the role of a stay-at-home mother. It was a cherished dream that finally became a reality. Pam's heart overflowed with an abundance of love for Jesus, sharing her faith and spreading the message of His love and grace. Her enthusiasm and genuine passion for discussing Jesus made her a beacon of inspiration and comfort to those around her, leaving a lasting impact on the lives she touched with her words and unwavering devotion. She was an incredible and compassionate mother and she wholeheartedly embraced her role. Through the ups and downs of life, she remained a constant source of support, guidance, and unconditional love to her children. She enjoyed spontaneous car rides with Alan, relishing the simple pleasure of sipping coffee while exploring every corner of the county. Together, they would drive along old country roads and venture into small towns. Without a specific destination in mind, their journeys were solely focused on quality time and conversation. Pam loved being in nature, tending to her garden, harmonizing in song, bird watching, and going to church. These last few years became a fun chapter of their lives. She and her husband Alan devoted themselves to homeschooling their beloved grandchildren. Embracing this precious opportunity, they crafted a nurturing learning environment and enjoyed being with their grand babies. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Joann Farmer; and her grandparents Alvin and Pearlie Robertson, and Edward and Edith Farmer. Pam is survived by her husband Alan Witt; her daughter Rachel Holdredge and husband Harris; her daughter Abigail Witt; and her son Alan Witt and wife Ashley; her two very loved grandchildren, Liam and Willow Holdredge; her brother Ken Farmer and wife Terri; her sister Brenda Thomas; and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 6, 2023, at 11am, at Dewey First Baptist Church in Dewey, OK and is under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.
