Martin "Bud" Gary Witt

Martin Gary Witt (Bud) or Papo born June 3, 1959, in Bartlesville to Eugene Alexander Witt and Carol Jean Smith Barth. He attended Barnsdall elementary school then 7th grade attended Cleora then finished his high school at Dewey High School in 1977. He continued his education earning a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Biblical Studies graduating in December 2016 from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Bud met the love of his life and in April 1976 he moved in and fell in love with the girl next door. Brenda and he knew they were the perfect pair for each other from the beginning and were married January 28, 1977. Bud worked his early years for K.C. Asphalt alongside worked his stepfather Bill Barth who left a massive impact on his life to be a better man. He also worked for a time at Kings Butcher, and Bluestem Foundry. Once married he was hired at Phillips Petroleum Comp. Then later Chevron where he retired from in May 2021. Bud accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was a completely changed man. He began serving as a Royal Ranger teacher, deacon then preaching and singing in a jail ministry through Bluestem Baptist Church in Dewey along with supply preaching to surrounding churches. When Bluestem began a mission church at Whippoorwill Bud became their mission pastor and remained there for 10 years until the mission was incorporated into a church. He loved the church and all the members dearly. When he left Whippoorwill, he went to Silverlake Baptist Church and served there 10 years. Finally, he went to Nelagoney Baptist Church where he served for 18 years until his death. Leaving behind a very loving church family and friends. Bud leaves behind his wife of 47 years Brenda Combs Witt and daughter Patricia Witt of the home. Two sons Micah Witt and Marcia Witt and their sons Chad and Tristian Witt. Joseph Alexander Witt of Dewey and his children Devon Witt wife Cheyenne, Tayllore Witt, Kamdyn Witt, Jordyn Witt and Koltyn Witt; along with 3 great grandchildren Kenslee, Malachi and Eliana. Those that have gone on ahead of Bud are his Grandparents on both sides, both parents a stepdad, stepmom, one daughter in law Robin Spaw Witt whom he cherished and a precious baby son Calab Alan Witt
