James David Kujath

James David Kujath was born August 22, 1970 in Beatrice, Nebraska at the Mennonite Deaconess Hospital to proud parents David and Carla Kujath. James was an easy-going child full of piss and vinegar and more energy than that crazy bunny. He had both an older brother, Ricky Dean, and sister, Ginny Lynn, that kept him on his toes. Having 12 aunts and uncles you can imagine how many exploits all those cousins created. The family moved to Whitehouse, Texas and eventually built a home in a rural area. Each child selected what color carpet they wanted Ricky picking boys blue, Ginny girls pink but not James, no he wanted PURPLE. James' fashion selections followed that same trend with bright and neon colors as a youth never really caring what anyone else was wearing. James has always been his own person. James loved to snow ski and would try the black slopes as a novice even though he might fall a dozen times. He always said he wanted to live where he could ski all the time so you can image the surprise when he ended up in the Philippines. James had one special friend from second grade that stayed connected with him over the years, Brandt Gaiser. Not that they ever got into mischief (oh sure) but they certainly kept this mama on alert. James moved to McKinney, Texas and met Misty Kenner and became a couple around 1996 and with that union a baby girl was born, Parker Kenner Kujath, on March 20, 2002. They remained a couple until 2014 when they went their own ways. James was very successful in life. Renting a warehouse in McKinney and converting it into a facility for birthday parties with bounce houses, slides and a netted jungle gym. David taught James the cable TV construction business so James started "Over and Under Utilities LLC" and they installed many thousand miles of cable throughout the states. James was able to travel to many counties before settling in the Philippines. He married Almie Canales June 22, 2017 in Cebu, Philippines. He became such an avid scuba diver that he almost became an instructor. James and Almie split in 2023 and James moved to Davis, Bohol, Philippines. James will be remembered for living life on his own terms, embracing every adventure and leaving a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Preceding James in death were his father, David Gene and grandparents, Olga & Neil Cole and Ed and Dolly Kujath numerous uncles, aunts and cousins. James is survived by his mother and stepfather Carla and Darrell Potts, brother Ricky Kujath and fiancé Rina Taylor and sister and brother-in-law Ginny and Brad Upton, daughter Parker Kenner Kujath, Kylee Caldwell and several nieces and nephews. James will be buried alongside his mother at a future time.
