Charles Eugene Malone

Charles Eugene Malone, age 75, was born on October 29, 1950, in San Rafael, California. He passed away Monday morning, August 24, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and devotion to those he loved. Charles was the son of Clarence and Doris Malone, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Cavan Malone. Charles grew up in California with two older siblings, and later a younger brother. He often spoke fondly about helping his father raise and train horses during that time. He attended Richmond High School and continued his education at Contra Costa Junior College and Laney Junior College. Growing up he worked on a golf course, for his father who was superintendent and with his siblings at the Mira Vista Country Club. Around this time, he also became a certified barber. While attending school to obtain that certification, he met his first wife and they had two children together. He went on to build a respected career in the ironworking industry, beginning as a general foreman in 1978. Through dedication, leadership, and a strong work ethic, he advanced to the position of Field Superintendent, retiring from the trade in 2007. In February 2007, Charles relocated to Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where he met the love of his life, Sharon. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and companionship. After moving to Oklahoma, Charles continued working as a Warehouse Supervisor for Central States Business Forms and later with Lowe's Home Improvement, before fully retiring in 2018. In his spare time, Charles loved tinkering with motorcycles, classic cars and anything with wheels or motors. Above all else he cherished his family and took great pride in the lives and accomplishments of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon of Bartlesville, OK; siblings Shirley Bruno (Joseph) of Bartlesville, OK, Jim (Debbie) of Farmington, NM, and Christopher (Amy) of Broken Arrow, OK; and his children Darcy Jaquez (William) of Rio Rancho, NM, and Chad (Jenna) of Lubbock, TX. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren: Alpha of Houston, TX; Gabriel and Christian of Rio Rancho, NM; and Megan, Oaklyn, and Irelyn of Lubbock, TX, as well as four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Charles will also be dearly missed by his faithful pets, Dottie and Ethel. Charles will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, generous heart, sense of humor, and deep love for family and friends. His presence brought strength and comfort to those around him, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
