Zelda Lynn Long

Zelda Lynn Long, of Bartlesville, passed away on June 5, 2021, at her son’s home in Lee Summit, Missouri at the age of 74. She was born to Edward Scouten and Alice Davidson Scouten in Sickles, Oklahoma on November 22, 1946. Zelda graduated from Oklahoma Highschool and continued her education at Beauty College. In 1966, Zelda married the love of her life, Steven Long. She spent her working career as a beautician and was self-employed with a hair salon in her home for over 30 years. She opened her own craft store, Pretty Punch, in Nowata, Oklahoma in the 1990’s. Zelda enjoyed all kinds of crafts including sewing and painting, but she was exceptionally talented at making quilts, which she would often use as gifts. She was a devoted mother, aunt, and grandmother (Nana). Zelda is preceded in death by her husband Steven Long, her parents Alice and Edward Scouten, brothers Dale, Earl, and Keith Scouten, and her sister-in-law Virginia Scouten. She is survived by her brother Robert Scouten, his wife Mary Lou, sister-in-law Paralea Scouten, her son Michael Long and his family, Kristin and Blaire, her daughter Cindy Tresner and her family including, Nathan, Ray, Megan, and Erika, and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as several great-grandchildren.
