Virgil Steel

Memorial service for Virgil Steel, 85, of Skiatook, Oklahoma will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Veterans Memorial Building at Osage Garden Cemetery, in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Cremation services were under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Virgil passed away on October 18, 2015, at the Skiatook Nursing Home. He was born on February 26, 1930 in Princeton, Alabama to Virgil and Nettie (Watts) Steel. Virgil was the youngest of six children born to Virgil and Nettie, his parents passed away at an early age and he was raised by his siblings. He has lived in Turley, but most of his life was spent in Skiatook and Sperry. He worked in the construction industry as an equipment operator. Virgil is survived by a son Virgil Wayne Steel, grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his five siblings.
