Stella Hunt

August 17, 1921 - February 27, 2017

Graveside services for Stella Hunt, 95 of Skiatook, were held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Eureka Springs City Cemetery in Eureka Springs, Arkansas with Jerry Stumpff officiating.             Interment was under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home.               Stella passed away on February 27, 2017, at her residence in Skiatook.  She was born on August 17, 1921 in Carroll County Arkansas to Andrew (Andy) and Viola (Price) Hull.   Stella married Olin Hunt, he preceded her in death in 1962.  She worked for the Eureka Springs Public Schools in the cafeteria for 20 years and cleaned motels.  Stella was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eureka Springs.  She moved to Skiatook in 1997 making it her home for the last 20 years.             Stella is survived by her son: Jerry Hunt and wife Ruby of Skiatook; two grandchildren: Valerie Dawn Eaton, Teresa Ann McLaughlin; three great grandchildren: Dex Eaton, Brody McLaughlin, Reese McLaughlin, two brothers: Vernon McNeill and Harley McNeill both of Lyons, Colorado and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.             She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Olin, a daughter Julia Ann Hunt on May 24, 1945, two brothers Andrew McNeill, Harold McNeill and a sister Geneva Sellick.
