Funeral services for Ruth Ellen Moyer, 90, of Mannford, Oklahoma, were held Monday, September 15, 2008 at 2:00p.m. at the Free Will Baptist Church in Peggs, Oklahoma with Brother Phil Buford officiating. Interment in New Home Cemetery was under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service were Van Noe, Christopher Lierly, Nick Koger, and Brad Eubank. Honorary casket bearers were Wayne Carpenter, Jim Bob Hendrickson, Billy House and Bobby House. Musical selections for the service were The Old Rugged Cross and I Call It Home . Ricky Eubank was the vocalist. Ruth passed away on September 12, 2008, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on October 15, 1917 in Ft. Scott, Kansas to Riley George and Maude Smith. Ruth married Almus Franklin Moyer in October 1954; he preceded her on death in March of 1983. Ruth was a resident of the Golden Age Apartments in Mannford for 15 years, where she attended the First Baptist Church. Ruth is survived by one daughter Frankie Moyer of Mannford; five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one brother Bobby Smith of Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons: Arthur Proctor and Danny Moyer, two daughters: Doris Proctor and Patricia Proctor, one sister, Blanche Kelley and six other siblings.
