Funeral services for Ruby N. Rader, 85, of Skiatook, Oklahoma will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Skiatook, OK, with Reverend Dianna Izquierdo officiating. Interment in Osage Garden Cemetery is under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service are David Patrick, Glenn Hamil, Phillip Hudson, Cecil Hudson, Glenn Oleman, and Fred Whisenant. Honorary casket bearers are Glenn George, Joe Faddis, David Shehi and Michael Shehi. Musical selections for the service will be Paradise Valley sung by the George family, Sweet Hour Of Prayer congregation hymn, "Near To The Heart of God" and "Shall We Gather At The River" played by Michael Shehi. Ruby passed away on December 26, 2010 at her residence. She was born April 25, 1925 in Centerville, Arkansas to John Turner Birdsong and Edith Eunice (Kee) Birdsong Petillo. Ruby worked as a seamstress for Munsingwear. She lived in Skiatook for the past 55 years where she was a member of the First Christian Church. She is survived by two daughters: Kim Whisenant and husband Fred of Cleveland; Karen Oleman and husband Glenn of Bixby; a sister Jannette George and husband Jacky of El Reno, OK; a granddaughter Angela Renae Tomchek, four great grandchildren: Caitlynn, Ashley, Leslie Cassidy and Jared. She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Leslie Michelle Lewis, one brother Glen Birdsong and a sister Annette Faddis.
