Paul James Sims

May 23, 1961 - April 8, 2022

Paul James Sims passed away April 8, 2022, in Bartlesville, at the age of 60. He was born to Jim Edgar Sims and Marlene Carol Minton on May 23, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas. He earned his education at Deer Creek High School and graduated in 1979. After high school, he began work at Philips Petroleum as a Power Plant Operator. We will never forget his words to us: “Don’t worry about it, that’s what I’m here for.” As well as his love for Kansas City Chiefs, Dr. Pepper, cigarettes, coffee before work, and a good nap. He also enjoyed basketball and loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. His greatest accomplishments in life were his two children- Christina (Sis) and Matt (Matthew). He loved them with his whole heart. He never let a day go by or end a phone call to them without saying “I love you.” His grandchildren, Isabella, Kenzie, Carson, and Cayson were the highlight of his life. He never told them no when they asked him to play games, catch frogs, go fishing, drive around the lake, shop for stickers at Hobby Lobby, and watching Disney movies. Our Dad will be missed for so many reasons. He had a laugh that would literally brighten a room (just like Matthew). We loved his kind soul who always wanted to make everyone happy (just like Christina). Dad, we will miss you everyday for the rest of our lives. He is preceded in death by his grandparents and his sister Linda Kay. Paul is survived by his daughter Christina and husband Brent, and their daughter Kenzie Chinn, his son Matthew and wife Sabrey, and their children, Isabella, Carson, and Cayson Sims. A come and go Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, April 13, from 5pm until 7pm at Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory. Paul loved the Kansas City Chiefs! Please wear your KC Chiefs gear to the celebration of his life!
