Patty Earlene Ward Taylor, 77, born Nov. 6, 1943, to Earl Edgar Ward (deceased) and Violet Dianne Riff (deceased), in Nowata, OK. Died May 14, 2021 at Bartlesville, OK. She grew up in Nowata and graduated from Nowata high school in 1962. That same year Patty married Robert “Bob” Cummins (deceased) and moved to Bartlesville. The couple had three children: Scott, Sandi, and Steve. During her time in Bartlesville, Patty worked for the Bartlesville Examiner Enterprise, Phillips 66 Company, Dr. Davito and the Washington County Health Department. Patty worked at Phillips 66 Co. for 26 years then went back to school, got her associate degree from Rogers State following up in the Nursing Program with an LPN Degree. Patty She married Scott R. Taylor, Nov. 25, 1988 at First Baptist Church where Patty was a long-time member. In 1996, Patty and Scott transferred to Disciples Christian Church where they are still members. Patty enjoyed Choir and the Monday Prayer Group especially. Patty lived in Oklahoma for almost all of her life, except for 8 years in Grand Island, NE while Scott served First Christian Church. Patty and Scott enjoyed traveling - Cruises to the Caribbean and to Alaska, Anniversary trip to Hawaii, business/pleasure trips to both coasts and many stops in between. Patty enjoyed art, both painting and ceramics; dancing, traveling. She loved music - singing in choir and attending concerts and festivals, especially Michael Martin Murphy’s WestFest in Colorado. Her pets, Gracie, Joy, and Patticake. She enjoyed cooking for her children, (especially Steve, much to the irritation of Scott and Sandi!) Patty lived her whole life for her family. She loved her kids and spoiled the grand and great grands with equal abandon! She was proceeded in death by her father, Earl Edgar Ward and her mother, Violet Dianne (Riff) Ward Bates and stepfather, John Bates, her brother, Dewey Edgar Ward, and half-sisters Billy Lynn Zink and Betty Jean Wiss. Patty is survived by her husband, Scott; children: Scott (Nancy) Cummins, Sandi (Joe) Boggs, Steve (Jaynee) Cummins all of Bartlesville. Her sisters, Pamela Sloan (The Villages FL), Penny (David) Lawrence (Tulsa OK). Her grandchildren, Crystal (Jake) Stewart (Bartlesville OK), Candace (Jason) Becker (Edmond OK), Ashley Zellmer (Joshua Tree CA), Lucas Boggs (Bartlesville OK), Natalie Boggs (Ridgecrest CA), Katie (Tommy) Cummins (Bartlesville OK), Kasey Cummins (Bartlesville OK), Eric (Heather) Cummins (Dewey OK), Haylee (Jonathan) Cummins (Bartlesville OK). Her great-grandchildren, Alyson, Madison and Garrett Stewart (Bartlesville OK), Greyson and Emery Becker (Edmond OK), Kassidy, Paytin, and Karly Joe Cummins (Bartlesville OK), Kaiden, Hayden, and Harper Cummins (Bartlesville OK), Tristan and Hayden Cummins (Dewey OK), Corbin Cummins (Bartlesville OK). A Memorial Service will be held at Disciples Christian Church, 5800 Douglas Lane, at 11:00am, Friday, May 21 with a reception to follow.
