Norman Dale Simpson

December 26, 1967 - January 5, 2016

Funeral services for Norman Dale Simpson, 48, of Skiatook OK, will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Broadway Baptist Church, in Sand Springs Oklahoma, with Roy Peters officiating.             Interment in Haskell Cemetery in Haskell, OK, is under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service are Lester (Pee Wee) Simpson, Harold Simpson, Waylon Simpson, Russell Simpson, Brian Toole and Jerry McVay. Honorary casket bearers are Terry Cryer and Todd Dickens.                      Norman passed away on January 5, 2016, at his residence.  He was born on December 26, 1967, in Tulsa, OK to Lester and Ima Jean (Smith) Simpson.  Norman was a truck driver and loved his work.  He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and camping.  He also enjoyed playing pool.  Norman loved life, spending time family members at family get togethers, and his grandchildren.  His girls were important to him, he wanted to make sure they stayed together and needed each other. Norman will be remembered as a special man to his family and for the love he had for his mother.   Norman is survived by his three daughters: Brandi True and husband Ryan of Jenks; Brittany Simpson of Tulsa; Bridgette Peters and husband Randy of Skiatook; three grandchildren: Kylen True, Amira Downum, Brilee Bowen, nine siblings: Beverly Simpson, Barbara McVay, Russell Simpson, Eva Burns, Billy Simpson, Kathy Ray, Jackie Kelley, Lester "Pee Wee" Simpson and Harold Simpson.             He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Tommy & Alfred "Grooby" Simpson.
