Funeral services for Maudie Marie Rose, 80, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, were held Monday, September 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jim Stratton officiating. Interment in Floral Haven Cemetery was under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service were Jerry Rose, Jeff Rose, Brett Rose, Johnny Hodges, Austin Hodges, and Michael Higgins. Musical selections for the service were Amazing Grace , I Wont Have To Cross Jordan Alone , and In The Garden . Maudie passed away on September 3, 2008, at her residence. She was born on March 19, 1928 in Coweta, Oklahoma to William Crockett and Nannie Lucinda (Cummings) Rector. Maudie married Elden Rose on July 4, 1949 in Sapulpa, OK. They have made their home in Skiatook since 1981. Maudie is survived by her husband Elden of the home, a son Jerry Rose of Owasso; two daughters: Barbara Higgins of Tulsa; Brenda Hodges of Ft. Gibson; seven grandchildren: Jeff Rose of Sperry; Shannon Rose of Collinsville; Brett Rose of Owasso; Tara Rose of Broken Arrow; Johnny Hodges of Ft. Gibosn; Michael Higgins of Tulsa; Kimberly Eaves of Tulsa; seven great grandchildren: Hunter Rose and Dakota Rose both of Sperry; Talon Rose of Broken Arrow; Austin Hodges of Ft.Gibson; MacKenzie Wasson of Tulsa; Lillian Eaves of Tulsa; and William Higgins. She was preceded in death by her parents four brothers and two sisters.
