Funeral Services for Kenneth Eddie Burl Forbes, 83, of Barnsdall, Oklahoma were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at the Barnsdall Assembly Of God Church with Reverend M.E. Anthony Jr. and Pastor Phil Clements officiating. Interment in Resthaven Cemetery in Sperry, Oklahoma was under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service were Ronnie Garrett, Wayne Henderson, Chance Bryant, J.D. Cole, Larry Howell, and Charles Scharnhorst Jr. Musical selections for the service were Ill Be Back and Aint No Grave Gonna Hold My Body Down with Larry Dearman and Terri Dearman as vocalist. Kenneth passed away on August 20, 2010 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was born September 15, 1926 in Peggs, Oklahoma to Clarence and Mary (Fletcher) Forbes. Kenneth worked as a steel worker operating an overhead crane for C.E. Natco and Osage County. He married Juanita Hudson on June 14, 1947; she preceded him in death on May 1, 1980. He later married Wanda Bryant on February 14, 1982. He lived in Barnsdall for 60 years where he was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was a Deacon for around 20 years. He is survived by his wife Wanda of the home, three children: Sharon Scharnhorst and husband Richard, James Forbes and wife Janetta all of Barnsdall; Jeff Forbes and wife Barbara of Copan; five grandchildren: Kenneth Scharnhorst and wife Marsha, Clinton Forbes, Frances McCabe and husband Donnie, Brittany Forbes, and Shonda Forbes, five great grandchildren: Lucas, Jessica, and Kenneth Joe Scharnhorst, Jakob and Kennedy McCabe and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Juanita, and grandson Beau Forbes.
