Joyce Lynell Coyne

February 23, 1952 - March 31, 2017

Joyce Lynell Coyne, 66, of Jenks, Oklahoma, died March 31, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born to Daisy Ellen Taggart and James “Jim” Calhoun on February 23, 1952 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Joyce attended and graduated from Dewey High School. Joyce married her high school sweetheart Michael “Mike” Coyne on June 12, 1970, and they were married for 47 years. Her husband Mike built high-rise hotels all over the country and they moved every couple of years to somewhere new for her to set up home for them. She became a grandma on January 20, 1999 when Micayla was born. She was a loving stay at home mom, grandmother and housewife. Her greatest joy in life was raising her children and her granddaughter Micayla Lynell. Joyce was a wonderful artist. She is preceded in death by her Father, Jim Calhoun, Dad, Ray Pointer, Mother, Daisy Pointer, Brother, Dubby Calhoun, Mother-in-law, Billy Coyne Smith. Joyce is survived by her loving Husband, Mike Coyne of El Paso, Texas, Daughter, Bandy Taylor and Husband Kevin; 5 Grandkids, Micayla, Zach, Zoey, Chloe and Jadyn of El Paso, Texas, Son, Chance Coyne of Texas, Sister, Connie Collier of Dewey, Oklahoma, Niece, Christy and Husband Jimmy of Dewey, Oklahoma, 2 Nephews, Wes and Wife Shelley Coldren of Dewey, James and Wife Shari Coldren of Cedar Vale, Kansas, many Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Joyce will be laid to rest with her Mother, Daisy Pointer, at the foot of her dad, Ray Pointer on Saturday May 1, 2021 at 1:00 Pm at Dewey Cemetery.
