Joyce Lee Blevins died on February 4, 2021 in Owasso, Oklahoma. She was born on November 30, 1932 to Jess C. and Lois (Johns) Brown in Pumpkin Center, Oklahoma, where the family lived in a tent for her first year. She attended Morris Public Schools until 1949, after which the family moved to Kansas City, Kansas. She graduated there from Wyandotte High School in 1951 and attended Kansas City Business College. She and Jack Blevins were married at Morris in 1954. She was employed by Traders National Bank in Kansas City until the birth of their first child. The family moved to Bartlesville Oklahoma in 1959. Joyce liked to bowl and didn’t mind when her team, “The Bowling Bags” once won a trophy for last place in their Phillips league. She very much enjoyed catching up with people at many family and school reunions. Joyce was most known for her love of family, friends, dogs and chocolate. In her last years she entertained many with her exciting (mostly fiction) stories at Oxford Glen Memory Care in Owasso. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law Barry, and survived by her son Greg Blevins and wife Julia, daughter Susan Rogers, two nieces and one nephew.
