John Watson Reed

Memorial Services for John Watson Reed, 73, of Skiatook will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Reed family residence in Skiatook, Oklahoma. John passed away April 17, 2014 at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa. He was born on January 5, 1941 in Iowa City, Iowa, to Harry Max and Hilda Christine (Flaig) Reed. He was a graduate of Will Rogers High and received a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Geography from Northeastern State University. John served four years in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Sharon Small on August 5, 1967. They had made Skiatook their home for the last nine years. John loved fishing and spending time with his family. John is survived by his wife Sharon of the home, two daughters: Bobbie Brown and husband Ron of Inola; Julie Burr and husband David of Skiatook, 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister JoAnn. Cremation services were under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. www.Peters-Stumpff.com
