Funeral services for Isabel Beatrice Lynd, 75, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, were held Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Prue, Oklahoma with Reverend Garry McDevitt and Richard Toothman officiating. Interment in Osage Cemetery in Osage, Oklahoma was under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Musical selections for the service were Holes In The Floor of Heaven , Amazing Grace , How Great Thou Art and The Old Rugged Cross . Casket bearers for the service were Ross Naylor, Marcus Naylor, Lee Parks, Phillip Bowen, John Blakney, and Jeff Whiteman. Honorary casket bearers were Justin Vaughan, Loren Vaughan, Dwayne Bray, Kelly Stewart, Earl Scott, and David Dunn. Isabel passed away on June 22, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on October 4, 1932, in Hominy, Oklahoma to Sterling E. and Vernie Beatrice (Powell) Parks. She married Robert William Lynd on June 16, 1961, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They moved to Skiatook in 1971. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2001. Isabel was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prue. Isabel is survived by one son David Lynd and wife Deeann of Skiatook; three grandchildren: Bailee, Zachary and Christian, two nephews: Lee Parks of Tulsa and Michael Parks of Alaska; two nieces: Beverly Parks of Tennessee and Joyce Parks of Alaska; and several great nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, and three brothers.
