Funeral services for Ila LaVon (Brown) Oliver, 76, of Skiatook, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home in Skiatook, Oklahoma with Pastor Bill Taylor officiating. Interment in Osage Garden Cemetery is under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the service are Bill Schaeffer, Dakota Schaeffer, Rusty Godbey, Justin Burch, Doug Juby and Wyatt Juby. Honorary casket bearers are Alvin Foshee, Roger Schaeffer Jr., Carl "CJ" Perry and Darion Kraft. Musical selection for the service is "Amazing Grace". Ila passed away on December 9, 2012, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on September 26, 1936 in Elba, Idaho, to Joseph Milton and LaVon (Wickel) Brown. She grew up in the Buhl, Hollister, Richfield, Castleford, Burley and Twin Falls area in Idaho graduating from Buhl High School in 1954. Ila married Jack Dade who after just six months of marriage was killed in a car accident. In April of 1955 Ila was blessed with the birth of her daughter Lisa. Ila worked in the Twin Falls area for the next few years to support her daughter. She then went to work at a Nevada Casino show room as a waitress and there she later met the love of her life Willard "Bill" L. Oliver, they married on January 26, 1961. They raised their daughter Lisa in the Nevada-Idaho area. Bill preceded Ila in death in June of 1985 after 21 years of marriage. Ila later married Clifford Zufelt in Twin Falls, Idaho; he preceded her in death in 2006. At that time Ila moved to Skiatook where she lived with her daughter Lisa, son in law Alvin Foshee and her grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy. She loved cooking and working in the yard and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ila will be greatly missed by all that knew an loved her, Mom always told us "Time helps heal the pain". She will be in our hearts forever. Ila is survived by her daughter Lisa LaVon Foshee and husband Alvin of the home; one brother Larry Brown of American Fork, Utah; a sister Kay Brown of Monticello, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Crystal Juby and husband Doug, Roger Schaeffer and wife Violet , great grandchildren: Justin and Rachelle Burch, Sheree Lynn Hettich and Fiancé C.J., Dakota and Roger Jr. Schaeffer, Wyatt Juby, Darion Kraft and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, two sisters Paula Jean "Jeanie" and Fae, one brother Joseph.
