Goldie Lee Elam

June 1, 1940 - November 18, 2021

Goldie Lee Elam, 81, of Skiatook, Oklahoma passed away on November 18, 2021 in Skiatook, OK. She was born June 1, 1940 in Mundell Arkansas, to Cletus Laudie and Rosalee (Bohannon) Amos. She married Roy Elam, he preceded her in death in 2009. Goldie worked as a glass inspector for Liberty Glass Company. Goldie was such a special person.  She was feisty, funny, and had a heart of gold.  She never met a stranger; you would think she had known you for years when she first met you.  She welcomed you with open arms as well as animals.  She once picked up a turtle off the road with a severely cracked shell; she then taped his shell back together and nursed him for months. The love for her family, pets, and the Lord  was beyond measure.  In a recent conversation, she said Roy was the love of her life.  She was ready to be reunited with him as well as other lost loved ones.  The loss of Goldie is tremendous to all who love her, but the memories will keep her living on for generations to come. Goldie is survived by her children: Russell Seifried of Tulsa; Theresa Harn and husband Jimmy of Sapulpa; Shelly Merry and husband Ronnie of Broken Arrow; Kari McCarn and husband Jeff, Bobby Elam and wife Jennifer all of Broken Arrow; Lawanna Jones and husband Lloyd of Okmulgee; three brothers: Colonel Amos of Locust Grove; Ben Amos and wife Cece of Oregon; Ronnie Amos of Spoken Washington; two sisters: Cledith Riodan and husband Dennis of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Beth Moore of Houston, Texas; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, daughter Tina Edwards, a sister Carol and a brother Ricky Gene.
