Fredrick V. Wheat

January 27, 1941 - December 8, 2021

Fred V. Wheat, 80, died at 2:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on January 27, 1941, to Addis V. Wheat and Audrey E. (Manners) Wheat in Parsons, Kansas. He attended Spring Hill School south of Parsons. He worked in sales most of his life. In his earlier years, he enjoyed participating in the Parsons Saddle Club, coaching baseball and softball, motorcycle racing, and square dancing. On May 21, 1994, he married Gayle Watson. They resided on a farm just northeast of Parsons where they enjoyed raising livestock as he did his entire life. Fred is survived by his wife Gayle of Bartlesville; his children: Lynette Long of Tulsa, Brent and Pam Wheat of Fair Grove, Missouri, Les and Teresa Watson of Bartlesville, Becky and Richard Williams of Gatlinburg, Tennessee; his grandchildren: Cameron, Kayln, Emily, Maddie, Tessa, and Rebecca. He is preceded in death by his parents, Addis and Audrey Wheat; his sisters: Beryl D. Fultz and husband Darrell, and Joyce Watts and Husband Doug. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, from 4 PM until 7 PM, at Center Bethel Church in Parsons, Kansas. Following visitation, cremation will take place. Interment will take place at Spring Hill Cemetery at a later date.
