Frank Kitchen
April 1, 1938 - January 6, 2022
Frank C. Kitchen beloved husband, loving father, grandpa and Great grandpa went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 6, 2022. Frank was born in a Mennonite farming community Outside Thomas, near Hydro Oklahoma in 1938. His family moved to Pryor Oklahoma when he was 8 years old. Frank graduated in 1956 from Pryor High School where he was on the basketball and track team and was considered the class clown. His life's work led him from working a tire shop and hardware store in Pryor to becoming a Master Machinist at the McDonnell/Douglas Aircraft in Tulsa where he retired from after 30 years. Everyone would attest there was nothing he could not make or fix, from "honey-do's" to neighbors needs, he was there. Frank had a work ethic rarely seen today. He loved motorcycles, airboats and anything mechanical. He always told wonderful funny stories when friends, family or co-workers were gathered. He was well known for having to use his hands to tell a tale. Frank loved and honored our creator, almighty God of the universe and our wonderful Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. His favorite verse was John 3:16. Frank leaves behind his wife of 44 years Jan Kitchen, his daughters Melody Henshaw and husband Tony, Vickie McCabe, granddaughters: Kristen Watterson and husband Shannon, Emily Worley and husband Doug, Victoria McCabe, Mallory McCabe, Marianna McCabe and 7 great grandchildren, his sister in law Loretta Wooldridge and husband Richard, brother-in-law Jesse Day, sister-in-law Pat Kitchen and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Theron Ray and Delora Oneta Kitchen, a sister Pauline Hutchins, 3 brothers: Wayne, Dee and Don Kitchen, step-son Brett Tarvin, his 1st wife Peggy Smith and son in law David McCabe. He has stepped into eternity and enjoying the blessings of rest in Our Lord. May we remember him with fondness and love and look forward to wonderful family reunion someday.
