Francis Lee Vickery

Memorial Services for Francis Lee Vickery, 72, of Sperry will be held Monday, May 5, 2014 at10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building in Osage Garden Cemetery in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Bill Hardie will be officiating. Francis passed away April 19, 2014 at the Hillcrest Heart Hospital in Tulsa. He was born on February 26, 1942 in Winfield, Kansas, to Lloyd Francis and Beatrice (Zahner) Vickery. He was a graduate of Sperry High School and attended Oklahoma State University. Francis married Barbara Gail Wilson who preceded him in death. He later married Shirley Dobbs Elliott on May 26, 1996. They had lived in Sperry then moved to Mannford for ten years moving back to Sperry this past September. Francis worked as a maintenance mechanic for the Boeing Airlines and was an automotive mechanic. He was a member of the Community of Christ Church in Sperry, Oklahoma. Francis is survived by his wife Shirley of the home, his mother Beatrice Z. Vickery of Sperry; a daughter Donna Petty and husband Randy, a son Ronnie Vickery all of Skiatook; two grandsons: Joe Petty of Skiatook; Zachary Petty and wife Caitlin of Mannford; a great grandson Titus Petty of Mannford; a brother Jerry Ray Vickery of Sperry; two step sons: Tony Elliott of Barnsdall; Terry Elliott of Texas; a step daughter Debra Jones of Edmond, OK; 9 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, first wife Barbara and his grandparents. Cremation services were under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. www.Peters-Stumpff.com
