Funeral services for Evelyn Rose "MeMe" Deckard 79, of Skiatook, OK, will be held Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Baptist Church in Skiatook, OK with Reverend Dale Nielsen officiating. Interment in Osage Garden Cemetery in Skiatook, OK will be under the direction of Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home. Casket bearers for the service are Michael Deckard, Tim Deckard, Dustin Deckard, Kiyle Deckard, Jacob Payne, and Jason Latty. Musical selections for the service are "Amazing Grace", "Beulah Land" and "I Can Only Imagine". Evelyn, passed away on December 26, 2011 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. She was born December 6, 1932 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Henry James and Grace (Cantrell) Gillum. She grew up in the Wagoner Area. Evelyn married Earnest Deckard on February 7, 1952; he preceded her in death on May 15, 1995. She worked as a quality controller for the Fo-Mac Company for 22 years. Evelyn enjoyed various activities during her life, one of them was playing Bunko. Others included doing word search puzzles, reading, going camping, listening to Gaithers Gospel music, but she got the most enjoyment spending time with her family and watching the grandchildren play sports. She is survived by her four children: Pam Ervin and husband Jake of Owasso; Mike Deckard and wife Virginia of Skiatook; Dwayne Deckard and wife Gail of Mannford; James Deckard and wife Karen of Collinsville; 11 grandchildren: Shelley Sams, Tiffany Taylor, Michael, Tim and Dustin Deckard, Darla MaGee, Linda Frazier, Joel Deckard, Kiyle, Bailey and Emery Deckard, 22 great grandchildren, a brother Lelan Gillum of Tulsa; a sister Mildred White of Manteca, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter in law Teresa Kay Deckard, and 4 siblings, Wanda Holden, Norwood Gillum Cletus Gillum and Vernon Gillum. www.Peters-Stumpff.com
