Corine Delores Peck, age 84, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, passed away July 16, 2021. Corine was born on October 26, 1936, in Dodge City, Kansas, but raised in Hot Springs, Arkansas by parents Reverend Arthur M. and Geraldine Trefethen Edwards. She was united in marriage to Lee Peck on March 18, 1995, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They enjoyed twenty-six years of marriage. She attended Southwestern Bible College in Waxahachie, Texas, and later completed a bachelor’s degree in education at the University of South Florida. Corine taught elementary school at Forrest Hills Elementary in Tampa, Florida, for a decade before taking up careers at Barbizon School of Modeling, J.C. Penney and Amway Corporation. Corine continued her working career in Tulsa after relocating there in 1978, completing tenures at Mayo’s Furniture, Oklahoma Department of Human Services and Akin’s Health Foods. Corine attained her FAA Private Pilot’s License and enjoyed flying light aircraft around the Southeastern United States for many years. A highlight of Corine’s education career came when she took twenty-three 3rd grade students on a flying field trip, three students at a time, in a four-seat Cessna 172, owned by her and first husband, the late Jay V. Barker (Jan 24, ‘21). She enjoyed bird watching, spending time with family and her beloved dogs; “the hounds,” Buddy and Sandy. Corine and Lee are members of Collinsville Church of the Nazarene, where the enjoy Bible study and friendships with Sunday school classmates. Corine continued daily Bible reading during lengthy hospitalizations often stating, “I read two chapters a day.” It was reassuring during treatment for various circulatory and renal illnesses, and she steadfastly maintained her faith in God and His blessings proclaiming regularly “Thank you Jesus, and amen” during trying times of treatment. Corine was preceded in death by her parents of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, brother Lloyd Edwards of Jackson, Georgia, sister Marjorie Stewart and husband Joe of Gravette, Arkansas. She is survived by husband Lee Peck of Collinsville, step son Kelly Peck and wife Laura of San Antonio, Texas, step son Warren Peck and wife Pam of Copan, Oklahoma, step daughter Donna Lukasek and husband Allen of Muldrow, Oklahoma, numerous step-grandchildren, their spouses and step great-grandchildren; son Vick Barker and wife Coleen of Jenks, Oklahoma, grandson Jarod Barker and wife Nikki of Tulsa, Oklahoma, brother Duane Edwards and wife Linda of Maumelle, Arkansas, sister Evelyn Clem and husband Charles of Hot Springs, Arkansas, sister-in-law Melva Edwards of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and numerous nephews and nieces and their spouses and children. Two of Corine’s favorite charities are Voice of the Martyrs, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Oral Roberts Ministries of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Services will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Bartlesville. Interment will be in the Ochelata Cemetery at Ochelata, Oklahoma. Visitation will be at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 2 PM until 5 PM.
