Beverly Joyce Harper

March 19, 1939 - July 29, 2016

Memorial services for Beverly Joyce Harper 77, of Skiatook, Oklahoma, were held Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Peters-Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel in Skiatook, with John King officiating.                                     Beverly passed away on July 29, 2016 at her residence in Skiatook.   She was born on March 19, 1939 in Joplin, Missouri to Alva R. and Norina M. (Dodson) Robinson. Beverly was the only girl out of four children; she often said she was her daddy's favorite.  Being raised with three brothers she was somewhat of a tom boy.  After graduating high school she began working as a bookkeeper for different companies, one of them being Hilti.  Beverly was a member of the Tulsa Chapter #1222 Women of the Moose Lodge.  During her association with the lodge she spent time traveling to different states attending conventions and getting to see different parts of the country.  She loved to travel and continued to do so with her husband Edwin Harper whom she married on April 16, 1998.  Beverly enjoyed antiquing and working in her flower gardens.  She battled cancer and survived, not letting it get her down she continued on in life to help take care of other people.  Beverly loved to watch football; she was a big OU Sooner Fan and enjoyed attending the Skiatook High School football games on Friday nights with the girls.  She loved going and watching her great grandson Noah play football and any other sport he participated in.  Beverly will be missed by all who knew her.              Beverly is survived by three brothers: Larry Robinson and wife Joyce of Sperry; Darrell Robinson and wife Barbara of Springfield; David Robinson and wife Linda of Broken Arrow; four step children: Terry Harper, Edwin Harper and wife Melissa, Laura Bowline, Nancy Hollis, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.        She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Edwin Harper.
