Alvin Evans Jr.

January 18, 1946 - March 15, 2022

On January 18, 1946, in Beggs Oklahoma Alvin Evans Sr. and Gladys Geneva (Morton) Evans had a baby boy named Alvin Evans Jr. Alvin was the first of five children born to this union. Alvin completed High School at Booker T. Washington in Tulsa Ok. After graduating from High School at Booker T. Washington Alvin enlisted in the United States Army July 8, 1964, where he spent 3 years serving his country. During his years of service Alvin fought in the Vietnam War. Following his enlistment Alvin would settle in Tulsa Oklahoma and have two children Michelle Faye Evans and Stephanie Marie Evans. Alvin later moved his family to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where he continued his education at Bartlesville Wesleyan College. During his tenure at BWC Alvin was employed for Phillips Petroleum Company for 40 years until his retirement as a Senior Field Lab Technician for Drilling Specialties. During his years of employment Alvin also worked part-time as a bartender for the Hillcrest Country Club for over 20 years. On March 17, 1986, Alvin would be united in love to his beautiful wife Carolyn (Alberty) Evans for 36 years until the time of his death. From this union Alvin would become stepfather to Carolyn’s 3 girls Andrea Michelle Glenn, Angelic Rochelle Glenn, and Alicia Ronchelle Glenn and would later help in the raising of his 3 grandchildren. During their marriage Alvin was a wonderful provider, confidant, Father, and Pawpaw to their 16 Grandchildren and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Alvin enjoyed riding motorcycles with his motorcycle club The Occasional Riders, spending time with family, cooking on the grill, playing dominos with his in-laws, listening to music that you would often find him dancing to during any occasion. Alvin enjoyed the outdoors where he could be found tinkering around in his backyard, enjoying a cold drink on his porch, or mowing his lawn, and occasionally you might find him mowing the lawn of the neighbors on his block. Alvin never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone in need and was a friend to many. Alvin was preceded in death by his Father Alvin Evans Sr., his Mother Gladys Smith, brother Johnnie Hubbard, and his Daughters Andrea Glenn and Michelle Evans Left to carry on his memory is his wife Carolyn Evans, two brothers Larry Hubbard of Tulsa, Ok; Melvin Evans of Muskogee, Ok, 3 sisters Volonda Hubbard, Laudrake Milton, and Deborah Norwood, all of Tulsa, Ok, daughters Angelic Fain of Aubrey, Tx, Stephanie Evans of Tulsa, Ok, and Alicia Glenn of Bartlesville, Ok, and host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
