Winona Marie Clark

Winona “Tootsie” Marie Clark Winona passed away peacefully in her home and went to be with her Lord on Jan 3rd, 2016. She succumbed to cancer after eight years of a valiant battle. Her family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. Mark Erhardt DO; Dr. Vicki Baker MD; Dr. Christopher Manus MD along with the Cancer Center staff; Dr. Frederick Williston MD and the St John Cyber Knife Center staff; the Carter Home Healthcare; Comforting Hands Hospice Caregivers; and her many friends who gave her support and love. Celebration of life service will be held at 10 AM, Monday, January 18th at Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Journey Home Foundation, Inc, 3406 S.E. Kentucky, Bartlesville, Oklahoma,74006. Winona was born December 23rd, 1937 in Adams, OK to Sam and Elma Klassen. She was known for her beauty, outgoing personality and talent as a self-taught pianist, who played by ear and at a young age for her church. After graduating from Adams HS, and while attending Panhandle State College, she won a typing contest, and became a contestant in four beauty pageants and named to the Dean’s Honor Roll. After completing her freshman year she married Bobby Doyle Clark and started her family. Winona displayed amazing mental and moral strength as she raised her 3 children, and was blessed with 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She loved flowers and had a beautiful yard at her home. Winona was so loved by her HS classmates that they held their class reunion the last 4 years at her home in Bartlesville. Many in Bartlesville knew Winona, through her time working in retail; she retired after many years working with her son, Scott at Treasures Custom Jewelry. Winona is survived by two sisters, Joey Oxley and husband Bill, of OKC; and Vicki Klassen of Santa Barbara, CA; her children: a son, Michael Clark and his daughters, Heather & Shelby of Bartlesville; a daughter, Kim Tidwell and her husband Paul and their children, Daniel Tidwell of Parker CO and Rachel Kummerfeld and husband Jonathan with 2 children, Clark & Lucille of Garland, TX; and a son, Scott Clark and wife Kelly and children, a daughter Leah Clark, and a son, Bobby Clark and wife Christine with son, Damon of Bartlesville, OK. Winona is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
