Mrs. Shirley Ann (Schneeberger) Spears Shirley Ann (Schneeburger) Spears 78, resident of Barnsdall, Oklahoma went to her heavenly home, Monday, May 16, 2016 at 6:45 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Freewill Baptist Church in Barnsdall, Oklahoma with the Reverend Rick Loggins officiating. Interment will be at the Ethel Reece Cemetery in Barnsdall under the direction of Stumpff Barnsdall Funeral Home. Shirley was born January 3, 1938 at Hennessey, Oklahoma to Ira and Alma (Kitchell) Schneeburger. She married Leo Preston Spears on May 20, 1955. She raised 4 children. She worked at Turvey’s Meat Processing Plant in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She also worked as a machinist at Wetmore, Inc. in Tonkawa for several years. She later worked at a flower shop and nursery in Ponca City. Alongside her husband she also worked and co-owned the Barnsdall Meat Processors. Her past times were cooking and spending time with her family and friends. But most of all she liked making cherry cheese cakes and baking many loaves of banana nut bread and carrot cakes for the Help Workshop Benefit Auction and the 4-H events. For 20 years she ironed graduation gowns for the kindergarten class. She like to volunteer for the Shirley Cook Food Bank where she greeted and helped people. That was her passion to help people. Survivors include her daughter Susie Polasek and husband Jerry of Barnsdall, sons, Kenneth Spears and wife Alice and Eddie Spears and wife Barbara all of Barnsdall, her sisters, Patsy Stowers of Lamont, Okla., and Maxine Schoonover of Kansas, brothers, Lonnie Schneeberger of Guymon, Oklahoma, Don Schneeberger and wife Ann of Kildare, Okla., Daniel Schneeberger and wife Roberta of Blackwell, Okla, Jerry Schneeberger and wife Nella of Lamont, Okla., Larry Schneeberger of Marland, Okla, and Dennis Schneeberger and wife Brenda of Kildare, Okla., 10 grandchildren, Sarah Tinnie, Elizabeth James, Kenneth Leo Spears Jr., Melissa Polasek, Jessica Spears, Brandon Spears, Justin Spears, Candace Spears, Chelsea Salinas and Drew Sayre, and six great grandchildren, Chism Spears, Preston Tinnie, Kenneth Polasek, Gregory James, Maia Polasek and Benjamin Salinas. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband, Leo P. Spears, brothers, Bobby Schneeberger and Jimmy Schneeberger, and grandson, George Polasek.
