Shelli Rene Michaels

Born 51 years ago in Miami, FL, our beloved Shelli passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 10th at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, OK, surrounded by loved ones. She will be deeply missed with unconditional love by all of her friends and family. Shelli was devoted to being a good mother during the early years of her children’s lives, truly living for them and making sure they had a good foundation. Elaine and Alex were the most important loves of her entire life. Her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and serving as a professional registered nurse for 24 years was a source of great pride to Shelli. She was a skilled and compassionate nurse with much recognition along the way and a host of appreciative patients and their families. During her nursing career, she was also privileged to teach and mentor students at Seminole State College in Florida which ended up being the most enjoyable and rewarding time of her career. Her passion for cooking and experimenting with many recipes led to her desire for writing a cookbook dedicated to her children. It was filled with their favorite dishes that she prepared for them. Classic rock was what Shelli loved to listen to and rock out! She also loved football and her voice was the loudest with any exciting play. Her teams were Dallas Cowboys, OU, and OSU. She also volunteered her time with several local charities. She is survived by her partner in life, Jon K. Hargis from Bartlesville, OK and her most precious children, Elaine and Alex. Their father, Paul Michaels, from Sydney, Australia and all of his family there mourn her as well. Her mother, Chrysse Langley and her step-father, Mark, from Palm Coast, FL along with her father, Ken Fenimore and his wife, Lori, from Oviedo, FL also deeply mourn her loss. Her brother, Blake Fenimore, from Altamonte Springs, FL will greatly miss her. She leaves behind many more cousins, aunts and uncles, other family and a whole host of friends. Her faithful golden retriever, Pandora, will stay with Elaine. We wish to thank the CCU unit staff at Jane Phillips Hospital for their compassionate & loving care. Also, thanks to Stumpff Funeral & Crematory for providing cremation services.
