PATTI K. CHILDERS Patti Kathleen Childers, 59, resident of rural Dewey, Oklahoma died at 10:30 AM on Thursday, November 6, 2014. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel, directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Patti Kathleen (Fiddler) Childers, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 6, 2014. Patti passed away at her home at the age of 59. A celebration of life Service will be held on Thursday November 13 at 10:00 am at Stumpff Funeral home in Bartlesville Ok. At her request, attendees are asked to wear colorful attire to celebrate her life. Patti was born September 21, 1955 to Claude Fiddler and Norma (Angie) Buck Fiddler in Nowata Oklahoma. She attended school in Dewey, where she graduated in 1973 and was also a member of the first graduating class of Tri-County Tech’s cosmetology program. She went on to attend Northeastern Oklahoma A&M in Miami Oklahoma for 2 years. Patti returned home and worked in the hair business and was also employed by First National Bank . In 1981 she began her career with Phillips Petroleum Company. It was there she climbed the corporate ladder to a position in Exploration and Production that took her all over the world. She was the recipient of countless awards for her work on many projects including her impeccable writing skills. She left the company in 2004. At that point she went on to co-partner and start up a successful consulting practice. In 2003 Patti married the true love of her life Doug Childers, they made their home in the Dewey area where they remained until her death. She was the grandmother of 4 beautiful grandchildren that she loved more than life itself. She was a life-long Oklahoma Sooner fan and season ticket holder. She loved the New York Yankees and made multiple trips with her family to Yankee Stadium. Patti was a true believer in the lord and her deeply generous heart will be forever missed. Patti was preceded in death by her father Claude Fiddler, Mother Norma (Angie) Buck Wickliffe, stepfather , Ray A. Wickliffe, brother Claude Douglas Fiddler and sister Marylin Fiddler. She is survived by her loving husband Doug Childers, Daughter Toni (Crain) Meade and husband Chase Meade, Son Cole Crain and wife Amy Crain, two grandsons Trenton, and Kevin Crain and 2 granddaughters Addison Crain and Sawyer Ray Meade.
