David Holt Magee and Marquita R. Magee David Holt Magee, 44, and Marquita R. Magee, 45, of Barnsdall, died on the evening of Saturday, June 18, 2016 as a result of a motorcycle/auto accident on Highway 62 near Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Funeral services for David and Marquita will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, June 24, 2016 at the Barnsdall School Gymnasium with Johnny Jones and Stuart Henderson officiating for the services. Interment for David Magee will be in the Ethel Reece Cemetery at Barnsdall. Marquita Magee will be cremated and her cremated remains will be placed at David’s gravesite. Funeral services are under the direction of the Stumpff Barnsdall Funeral Home. Visitation for friends and family will be held at the Stumpff Barnsdall Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday until 8 P.M. each day. David Holt Magee was born January 16, 1972 at Tulsa, Oklahoma to Earnest and Beatrice Joan (Rather) Magee and grew up in the Barnsdall and Avant areas. He was employed at Baker Hughes in Barnsdall for a number of years and he liked riding motorcycles and four wheelers, working on his trucks and loved his pit bulls. Marquita R. Magee was born on September 18, 1970 at Joplin, Missouri to Leo and Juanita (Tribble) Mayes. She grew up in Sand Springs, Oklahoma and attended Charles Page High School. She had been employed as an enrollment supervisor for Community Care in Tulsa until one year ago. She liked to ride motorcycles and loved her pit bulls and Floki her pet pig. David and Marquita were married in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on July 20, 2013 and have made their home at Barnsdall since that time. They loved going on trips including several cruises, sightseeing trips and motorcycle trips across the USA. David and Marquita are survived by their children, Brandon Magee of Barnsdall, Jeremy Lynn Adams of Cushing, and Dusty Adams of Tulsa, and their grandson, Trayser Adams. David is also survived by his mother, Beatrice Joan Magee of Tulsa, and a brother, James Magee of Barnsdall. He was preceded in death by his father. Marquita is also survived by her mother, Juanita Mayes of Tulsa, two brothers, Johnny Mayes of Jennings and Rex Mayes of Sand Springs, and a sister, Terry Cornog of Sand Springs.
