Everett Thomas Collins

Everett Thomas “Big Daddy” Collins, age 73, a lifelong resident of Nowata, Oklahoma, passed away on August 16, 2026, at Hillcrest South Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on February 14, 1953, in Nowata to William Leroy “Bill” Collins and Lucy Lee (Gill) Collins. Everett attended school at Diamond Point in Nowata. A skilled machinist and mechanic by trade, he build a dedicated career working for Reda Pump in Bartlesville, J&S Machine, and operating his own business, Collins Prop Repair or CPR for short, out of his home where he specialized in working on boats and propellers. On November 15th, 1976, Everett married the love of his life, Glenda Collins. Everett loved riding his Harley Davidson and it was a big chapter of his life as he and Glenda spent many years travelling by motorcycle. Everett also enjoyed spending time at the lake- where he and his family and friends spent a lot of time fishing, boating, and enjoying good food and good moments together. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lucy Collins; Two brothers, Mike Collins and William Collins; Two sisters, Joyce Faulker and Gloria Johnson; his grandson, Garrett Haynes; and his son-in-law, Chris Penner. Everett’s memory will honored and carried on by his loving family, including his wife, Glenda Collins; his children, Stephanie Marlene Collins, Devon Lynn Mattix and husband Dusty, Sondra Richards and husband David, and Susie Penner, and Glenda; his sister, Thelma Shull and husband Lewis shull; and his brother, Homer Collins and his wife Phyllis. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jacey Louise Mattix, Maximus Tyler Rayne Collins, Samantha Gutensohn and husband Levi, Dyani Penner, Justin Richards, Rob Judy and wife Jen, Chance Juby and wife Tori, Ryan Richards and wife Evalys, Jennifer Trotter and husband Shawn, and Chad Richard and wife Bobbi; along with twenty-four great grandchildren: Bentley, Sebastian, Kaylee, Isabelle, Caroline, Tristan, Colter, Emma, Case, Chandler, Kenton, Karter, Mason, Eli, Lilly, Sawyer, Maverick, Peyton, Jalyn, Lane, Gabriel, and Noah. Everett “Big Daddy” Collins leaves behind a massive legacy of family, grit, and unforgettable memories that will live in the hearts of all who knew him.
