Earline O Thompson

Earline Ophelia Thompson was born December 13, 1930 to Edward and Henrietta Thompson in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. She was one of ten children born to this union. The family moved to Bartlesville, where she grew up, attended and graduated from Douglas High School. She also attended Langston University for one year. She was employed by the Beasley Family, The Kirberger’s, and the last years of employment was with the Dutcher Family, giving years of life-long committed service. She committed her life to Jesus Christ as a young woman and was a faithful longtime member of Bethel AME Church, serving in many facets of the church for many years. She was an active member of the Renaissance Club, NAACP, Oklahoma Home and Community Education of Washington County (of which she just celebrated fifty years of membership), a long-time member of the Federated Colored Women Organization and she was also a member of the Westside Senior Citizens Organization. If you knew our Mom, you knew she had a loving spirit and a heart of serving others. It was just her makeup. She was always happy, and she was always humming. Anyone she came in contact with was marked by her heart and her spirit of unconditional love. She leaves to cherish her memory two Daughters; Pamela J. Young of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Beverly A. Robinson (Willie) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; three Sons, Gerald Thompson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Gary K. Thompson (Anette) of Sacramento, California, and Kevin W. Harris, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one twin Brother, Earl B. Thompson (Ernestine) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one Sister, Claudia Law (Wilbur) of Gardenia, California; Sister-in-Law Gloria Thompson of Seattle, Washington; Beloved Daughter-In-Law, Deborah Thompson of Denver, Colorado; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends and loved ones. Earline was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Henrietta Thompson; Stepmother Alberta Thompson; Four Brothers, Edward Thompson, Eddie Thompson, Andrew Thompson and Reverend Jessie B. Thompson; Three sisters, Laura L. Evans, Mittie M. Jordon, Marietta “Puddin” Mayberry and one grandson, Wakenda Thompson.
