Charles A Roberts

Mr. Charles A. Roberts Mr. Charles A. Roberts, 86, of Bartlesville, died at 6:30 A.M. on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the Heritage Villa Nursing Center. In keeping with Mr. Roberts request, there are no services planned and arrangements for donation to medical science were under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Cherokee Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America, 520 S. Quapaw, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74003 or to the Washington County SPCA, 16620 State Highway 123, Bartlesville, Oklahoma, 74006. Mr. Roberts was born on July 22, 1929 at Barnsdall, Oklahoma the son of Leonard and Mary (Griffith) Roberts. He grew up and received his education in Barnsdall where he graduated from high school. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in Alaska and following his Honorable Discharge he returned to Barnsdall. He was employed with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville and traveled extensively with his job. At the time of his retirement he was an oil and gas royalties administrator and he continued for a time as a contractor with Phillips after his retirement. He was married to Betty Jo Houston at Cleveland, Oklahoma on February 3, 1952 . They made their home in Bartlesville and she preceded him in death in 2001. Mr. Roberts was married to Patsy Ruth Graham in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 2003 and they have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. He was a member of the Bartlesville Masonic Lodge and was active as a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was proficient for tying his own flies for his fly fishing. Mr. Roberts is survived by his wife, Patsy Ruth Graham of Bartlesville, two daughters, Teri Baldwin of Bartlesville and Vicki Smith and husband Allan of Bartlesville, two step children, Ruth Kern and husband Ron of Scottsdale, Arizona and Richard Graham and wife Loretta of Bartlesville, three grandchildren, Kristi Slaughter and husband Jerry, Ryan Baldwin and Danielle Truitt and husband Todd and one great granddaughter, Faith Baldwin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
