Mrs. Carol A. Lee Mrs. Carol A. Lee, 75, of Nowata, died at 1:03 A.M. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. Funeral services for Mrs. Lee will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, January 4, 2013 at the Living Word Family Church with Pastor Matt Rowell officiating. Interment will be in the Nowata Relocated Cemetery directed by the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home. A memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to the Nowata American Legion Post # 101, 506 West Shawnee, Nowata, Oklahoma, 74048. Mrs. Lee was born on July 31, 1937 at East Orange, New Jersey to Clara (Reneiger) Titchworth and James Carlton Titchworth. She grew up and received her education in Wayne Township, New Jersey and she was married to George C. Lee on June 11, 1972 at Stanhope, New Jersey. They moved to Nowata in July of 1973 and have made their home at Nowata since that time. She had been employed at the Bliss Restaurant, Dollar General, Ideal Restaurant , the Nowata County Clerk’s Office and had worked at the Nowata County Sheriff’s Office under Sheriffs Michael Bird, Harold Lay and Bob Arnold. Under Michael Bird she became a Nowata County Reserve Deputy. She was later employed with the Nowata County Assessor’s Office for several years until she retired on October 30, 2007. She was a member of the Living Word Family Church. Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband George C. Lee of the home, her five surviving children, James Robert Richards , Susan Jean Monroe and husband James, David William Richards and wife Sondra , and Nancy Lynn Martin all of Nowata, and Diana May Lee of Denison, Texas, one step son, David Lee of Missouri, one brother, Jim Titchworth of Pompton Lakes, New Jersey, one sister, Nancy Sholtin of New Port Richey, Florida, 20 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Frances Walker. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jeffrey Wayne Richard on October 1, 1993 and a special friend, Barbara Sutton. PDF Printable Version
