Mr. Stephen Joseph Cullison, 80, took the hand of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who led him into his eternal reward at 8:12 a.m. November 12, 2011.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday in the First Church of God in Dewey with Pastor Danny Workman and Rev. Ross Atkins officiating. A family visitation will be from 6:00 PM on Wednesday to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the James H. Teel American Legion Post # 105 of Bartlesville.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established at the First Church of God 222 S. Osage, Dewey, Oklahoma 74029 for those wishing to honor Stephen.
Stephen Joseph Cullison was born April 1, 1931 in Washington County, near Wann, Oklahoma to Homer Ira and Helen Pauline (Harris) Cullison. He was a graduate of Bartlesville College High School and the University of Oklahoma and a member of Tau Beta Pi honor fraternity. Mr. Cullison retired June 30, 1986 following 26 years of employment with Phillips Petroleum Company. He entered the U. S. Army on January 25, 1951 and was honorably discharged He was married to Wilberta Rozell May on August 6, 1954 at Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was also a member of the First Church of God in Dewey for many years.
Survivors include; his wife Wilberta Rozell Cullison of the family home in Bartlesville; one son Gerald Stephen Cullison and his wife Michelle of Metairie, Louisiana; one daughter Susan Rae Murray and her husband Brad of Owasso, Oklahoma; one brother Jim Cullison and his wife Susan of Bartlesville; two sisters Beverly Griffin of Bartlesville, and Glena Cortez and her husband Joe of Stockton, California; six grandchildren Adam Murray and his wife Mandy, Andrea Murray and Alicia Murray, Claire Cullison, Candis Cullison and Daniel Cullison; special sons; Tim Murguia and James Mason; special daughters Kathe Knight and Cheri Fowler. Mr. Cullison was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Philip, Eugene and Robert Cullison.
