Mr. Monte Lake Crouse
Mr. Monte Lake Crouse, 63, of Delaware, Oklahoma, died at 2:09 A.M. on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Muskogee.
Memorial services for Mr. Crouse were held at 2 P.M. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Delaware with Mr. Denny Parks officiating. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home.
Mr. Crouse was born on November 13, 1947 at Vallejo, California to Lake and Olive (Adkins) Crouse. He grew up and received his education in Eureka, California. He entered the U.S. Army in August of 1966 and served in Germany, receiving his discharge on February 2, 1968. He was married to Charlotte Jean Whitney on February 12, 1966 in Reno, Nevada. They came to Delaware, Oklahoma to make their home and he was active as a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Crouse of Delaware, one daughter, Frankie Marie Crouse Parker of Lenapah, one half brother, Merritt Crouse of New York State, one sister, Janice Robinett of Anderson, California, two grandchildren, Justus Crouse and Jaymie Parker and his dog, Abby. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Manville Crouse and one sister, Marlena Llelanie.
