Clair Raymond Gregory, Jr.
December 15, 1921 - April 1, 2011
Clair Raymond Gregory, Jr., 89, resident of Barnsdall, died Friday.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday in the Barnsdall Assembly of God Church with Reverend Phil Clements officiating. Visitation will begin 9:00 AM Monday 04/04/2011 at the Barnsdall Assembly of God Church. Interment will be in the Ethel Reece Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff-Barnsdall Funeral Home.
Clair Raymond Gregory, Jr., was born December 15, 1921 at Hutchinson, Kansas to Clair Raymond and Mabel Ellen (Hill) Gregory. He was raised and received his education in Barnsdall, Oklahoma living there all his life. Mr. Gregory graduated from Barnsdall High School in 1939 and attended Northern Oklahoma Junior College at Tonkawa where he received his Associates Degree in Business. He was married to Ruby Maxine Siggins in 1942 at Barnsdall. Mr. Gregory accepted Christ at the age of fourteen, and was currently a member of the Barnsdall Assembly of God Church. Mr. Gregory served in the U.S. Army during WWII with the 275th Combat Engineers, serving in France, Germany Holland and Alsacelerainge. He was employed with Bareco Oil Company for several years and the Great Lakes Pipeline Company for ten years. Mr. Gregory was later self employed as a carpenter and building contractor until retiring in 1984.

Survivors include his daughter Jill Gregory Clements and her husband Rev. Phillip D. Clements; his son Jack R. Gregory and his wife BichNgoc of Springfield, Missouri; one brother Ted W. Gregory of Bartlesville; one sister Joy Kuhn also of Bartlesville; four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mr. Gregory was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one brother Leon Gregory.
